Mission
The JEBK Foundation’s mission is to create, maintain and maintain an Ethnobotanical Garden that acts locally for the conservation of endangered endemic trees and wild plant species. In addition, the Foundation also aims to contribute to the improvement of food security and health in the region while stimulating employment opportunities in the field of plant and tree conservation for future reforestation projects.
Vision
The Kivu Ethnobotanical Garden Foundation (JEBK) aims to safeguard and preserve traditional knowledge about the tropical forests, endemic and menaceous plants of the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to promote and guarantee the diversity and availability of wild edible plants.
