The Scholar and Baobab Tree of Central African Flora: Mr Dumbo
Mr Dumbo Kirundo (from the Réga ethnic group), nicknamed the Scholar and the Baobab of Central African Flora, was the first black employee of the Scientific Research Institute of Central Africa (IRSAC) in Lwiro, now the Lwiro Natural Sciences Research Centre in South Kivu.
